La Favorita was open! Yesterday at lunch, we decided to see once more if this craft beer bar might be open. We've walked past it at least half a dozen times only to be disappointed. I was getting used to being sad. But yesterday it was open! While there were several tables outside, we entered the dark grotto and were greeted by a genuinely nice man. He apologized that there was no food (as advertised), his refrigerator had broken. He apologized that two of the five taps were out of service. He apologized that his bottle collection was diminished (due to the holidays). He did not, however, have to apologize for the selection he DID have on hand. We tried four beers - each was yummy and very drinkable. We will go back.
We left there to find some lunch. We went back to De Tapas - the place that brings tapas to you on little planks and then they charge you for the number of planks you collect. They had some awesome stuff yesterday, and we were happy with our seven or eight planks.
We wandered a bit and then headed back to the house for a nap. Last night we went to Casa Pedro Ximenez for dinner - a nice little restaurant close to the Mezquita. We capped off dinner with cheesecake and a shot of PX.
I was excited because they had a stall called The Beer Experience - touted to have some of Europe's finest brews. They had two: a Paulaner and a Spanish beer...we've had both. Not exactly the experience I was looking for. We did have one of the largest burgers I've ever seen (don't worry, we split it!).
