So let me 'splain yesterday's post re: Germany's restrictions. It's not that we couldn't get into places, it's just that we didn't have the digital (nationally approved) QRCode to do so. Instead, we had to show our passports and CDC vax cards at every door. More pain in the ass than anything else. Madrid does not require that, nor does Cordoba; we'll have to stop and show while in Valencia. Every place is different. And if you're planning to travel again, it would serve you well to check each stop and make sure what their requirements are. There were a ton of people standing in line waiting to get their luggage at the Madrid airport having to fill out a form because they didn't do their homework.
We should have asked Cihan to see if our Colorado QRCode worked on his scanner. It is, after all, just a contact tracer. Oh, well.
We were up early today to catch our flight from Berlin to Madrid - with a three hour layover in Munich. And, once again, we're beat! But nothing that a really cool VRBO, a glass of Ribera wine and a good meal couldn't help. And we're workin' that espanol!
Tomorrow we'll explore the Plaza Mayor and head over to the Mercado. Sorry for the short post, but I need my beauty rest! Salud.
